Last week, Instagram unveiled its list of its most frequently photographed cities. While San Francisco didn’t make the list (heftier metropolitan areas like Los Angeles and Paris landed on the top spots), we couldn’t help but wonder: What were our city’s top Instagrammed spots?
Where exactly in Baghdad by the Bay were people Instagramming? After all, we are home to the noted (and, in many ways, preferable) social media outlet. The fine folks at Instagram shared with Curbed a list of the 10 most geo-tagged places in SF. Predictably, major tourist draws such as the Golden Gate Bridge (geotagged twice, hence its repeat on this list) and the Ferry Building landed on the list.
But some of the other spots, including AT&T Park and Ocean Beach, are attractions that even locals enjoy.
And now, here’s the list. We’ve also combed through Instagram to pluck the prettiest posts of each. Enjoy.
